About Ladysmith Kyokushin

Ladysmith Kyokushin Karate is a karate school located in Ladysmith at mid-Vancouver Island.

Classes are instructed by Brad Cromwell—a second degree (Nidan) black belt—and Adam Chantree, brown belt. Brad began teaching Kyokushin children's classes in 2009, followed by the addition of adult and intermediate classes.

We offer three types of classes for both male and female:

  • Junior (5 - 9)

  • Intermediate (10 - 14)

  • Adult (10 and up)

Our focus is on teaching traditional Kyokushin Karate to all ages. Kyokushin Karate is a stand-up, full-contact karate created by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.

We are an established dojo within the IKOKC (International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan Canada), actively participating in seminars and tournaments.

Many opportunities exist locally, provincial, nationally and internationally being a part of the largest Karate organization in the world.
